Shannen Doherty obtiene resultados preocupantes tras pruebas

Luego de dar a conocer en febrero de 2015 que padecía cáncer de pecho, y que el año pasado confirmara que se encontraba en remisión, Shannen Doherty empleó las redes sociales para revelar que tras someterse a unas pruebas de seguimiento de esta enfermedad arrojó algunos resultados preocupantes.

“Test y resultado. Uno de los análisis de sangre para buscar marcadores tumorales ha dado un resultado bueno; el otro... elevado. Eso solo significa que tengo que vigilarlo y hacerme más pruebas”, inició su mensaje la actriz en su cuenta de Instagram.

Enseguida, agregó: “Incluso después de recibir esta noticia, he intentado mantenerme positiva y evaluar mi vida. Desde luego, ayuda a poner ciertas cosas en perspectiva y te recuerda todo lo que aprendiste durante el viaje junto al cáncer. Y, en ocasiones, incluso yo necesito que me refresquen la memoria”.

A pesar de mostrarse positiva, horas más tarde Doherty decidió eliminar este mensaje de la red social y únicamente dejó uno anterior, en el que se mostraba optimista antes de realizarse las pruebas.

  Went to doctor today for tumor marker test and bone density scan. Yes, that’s my mom... I figured why not. She got bone test done as well. I adore my doctor and all the great people who work there. But not going to lie, there is always anxiety waiting for test results to come back. Reoccurrences happen. And I can’t imagine how it must feel to beat back cancer only to have it return again. For now, I stay positive, stay healthy and do what I can to help promote research so that cancer can be beaten once and for all. I’ll keep you posted on my results. Cabe recordar que, tras ser diagnosticada con cáncer, Shannen tuvo que someterse a una mastectomía, además de algunos tratamientos de quimio y radioterapia para erradicar la enfermedad.

  Have I mentioned how much I hate needles? This was prep for today's petscan. I don't care how much a person has been poked and prodded, it never gets easier. @kurtiswarienko tells me I have a high threshold for pain but I don't see it that way. Here's the thing.... even with positive results, it's the next five years that determine so much. So, let's see how today turns out and then day by day. Live life to the fullest. Cherish every second. Love fiercely. And thank God for every second. I'll keep you all posted and thank you for your positive energy and prayers. and yes.... that is a puff ball on top of my head.
